Product features
Maleic acid-copolymer is a low-molecular-weight polyelectrolyte, which is produced by the copolymerization of maleic acid and acid in a certain proportion. Maleic acid-copolymer has a strong dispersion effect on carbonates and other substances, high thermal stability, and can be used under harsh conditions such as 300℃ high temperature. It has good compatibility and synergistic effect with other water treatment chemicals. It has a good inhibitory effect on the formation of scale including phosphate. Due to the excellent scale inhibition and high-temperature resistance of maleic acid-copolymer, it is widely used in low-pressure boilers, centralized heating, central air conditioning and various circulating cooling water systems. Maleic acid-copolymer can also be used as a chelating dispersant in the textile printing and dyeing industry.

Sokalan CP 5 is a widely used dispersant and detergent, with excellent functions of dispersing, stabilizing and protecting colloids.
Sokalan CP 5 is used in the solution as a dispersant to prevent solid particles from combining to form hard scale, making the solid-liquid mixing and dispersion more thorough and stable. The addition amount depends on the specific process formula and requirements. Among them, CP5 powder is more convenient to use in powder formulas.
Specifications and Storage
Sokalan CP 5 Powder should be stored in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding +40 C. It must be protected from sunlight to ensure that it doesnot form lumps.
Sokalan CP 5 Powder is hygroscopic which means it can absorb moisturevery quickly. Open drums or containers must be resealed tightly after eachremoval of product to avoid absorption of moisture.
Big bags are not to be stacked during storage in order to prevent lumping/agglomeration due to weight compression.
It is not recommended to store SokalanCP 5 Powder in plain carbon steel,because this would cause significant discoloration of the product within a shortperiod of time.
Sokalan® CP 5 Powder has a shelf life of at least 24 months in its original packaging.
